Organic hotel in Bressanone - South Tyrol

If you love your guests you treat them to something special!
With a “Climate House A+” class wooden annexe to the main house Grüner Baum/Stremitzer we have realised our goal for a nature and organic hotel in Bressanone. We wanted to honour our name and interpret the word “Grüner” (meaning Green, Grüner Baum meaning Green Tree) in environmental terms!

The idea came from a branch of ivy... in 2004 we purchased the house next to the Hotel Grüner Baum/Stremitzer and demolished it. We discovered an ivy that had grown between the two external walls right up to the roof. This showed us the way forward: The new hotel had to be a completely ecologically sound building - the first organic hotel in Bressanone!

This was the start of an organic hotel in Bressanone, a climate house A+ with a heating requirement of only 29kWh/m². And the ivy? It is also still here: A wooden trellis was fixed to the façade, supporting the ivy and other climbers and offering a natural screen between the rooms. The green plants also underline the name of the hotel and of the “green lungs of the town”, as the district of Stufles is also called.

In the organic hotel Grüner Baum in Bressanone 36 modern rooms and suites with South Tyrolean rustic wood panelling are available to you, some of which are wheelchair accessible. There is also a fitness room, an exercise room and two meeting rooms with the latest technology.
